Blue Rock Franchise and Customer Experience Team Gives Back
At Blue Rock, we believe in taking care of our neighbors, building up their strengths, and rising together. It’s how we support our employees, our candidates, our clients, and goes beyond the walls of our firm out to our communities, too.
A team made up of individuals from all walks of life are bound to have diverse interests, and that includes foundations and charities that are near and dear to the heart. This allows Blue Rock to reach a wide array of organizations doing important work. It is our privilege and our pleasure to support the passions of our team and help in even the smallest of ways whenever the opportunity arises.
Through our Blue Rock Gives Back Program, our team members have the opportunity to choose a cause that is meaningful to them, and on a monthly basis, Blue Rock donates to two of the chosen charitable organizations on behalf of its employees.
Run entirely by donations, grants, and volunteer labor, the popover café runs a distribution program to deliver fresh soup and other pantry staples to senior residences and others who cannot make it out to the café or are dealing with food insecurity on Mount Desert Island in Maine.
The charity I’d like to donate towards is the Environmental Working Group. Since 1993, the Environmental Working Group has shined a spotlight on outdated legislation, harmful agricultural practices and industry loopholes that pose a risk to our health and the health of our environment. They educate consumers with actionable information and inspire demand for safer products, which ultimately helps all of us!
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a cause that’s deeply personal to me, as my family has experienced firsthand the impact of neuromuscular disease. When my daughter was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, we were fortunate that she could continue leading an active life, but we know many others face far greater challenges. MDA’s commitment to research, care, and support offers hope to countless families, and I’m honored to contribute to their mission. Every step I take is in support of a future with better treatments and brighter possibilities for those affected.

SSBR is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving bully breeds throughout Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida. Many of the dogs that come through the rescue come from horrific beginnings of abuse and neglect. This organization is a foster-based rescue, meaning all their dogs are entrusted to foster families that devote their time to saving, training, and rehabilitating them before they go up for adoption. One of their largest goals is to build a better reputation for bully breeds as these dogs don’t get to pick their path in life. In July 2020, my husband and I adopted our Pitbull, Conan, from SSBR, and he is the center of our lives. I can’t say enough about what this local organization does for this misunderstood and lovable breed.
“Established by Jim Valvano, the V Foundation’s, mission is to fund Cancer research to help find cures. This is important to me because too many lives are lost each year to this horrible disease and it has taken people and animals close to me. The famous speech by Mr. Valvano before he lost his battle with cancer was also very impactful and the words ‘Don’t give up, don’t ever give up.’ are ingrained in my memory.”
Latin for “swift cure”, VeloSano is a year-round fundraising initiative to support lifesaving cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. Since the inaugural ride in 2014, more than $24 million has been raised and 1OO% of those funds are hard at work in the fight against cancer.”
