Blue Rock Search has partnered with Junk Brand to identify their next Brand Leader.  The Brand Leader will drive achievement of the launch of the brand and the organization’s growth and financial goals. S/he will set the vision and direction for the Brand, driving key strategic initiatives and business results. S/he will have demonstrated an ability to rally internal and external stakeholders around a brand vision and execute with excellence. S/he will also have experience working in a hands-on, dynamic, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial environment.

This leader will have experience building and leading high-performing teams and will build a world-class, scalable team to ensure optimal bench strength, franchisee support and growth capability. Reporting to the President and working closely with the executive leadership team within the Parent Company, this individual should be comfortable working as part of a highly collaborative and mutually supportive management team.

This individual must build deep trust working with a passionate franchise community who is deeply committed to the company’s brands. The leader will have responsibility for growing the brand to gain franchisee adoption and growth, new unit expansion, build market share, increase system-wide sales, and ensure Franchisees have the necessary tools to maximize their performance and potential. S/he will be a recognized leader among the Franchisees and Franchise Advisory Council to be able to effectively work with owners to ensure expanded growth in a manner consistent with our values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Senior Brand leader responsible for creation of Brand growth strategy to launch the Brand and drive aggressive growth and long-term value for the organization exceeding $100 million in systemwide sales in 5 years.
  • Responsible for ascertaining the ideal successful franchise candidate profile, and building the attraction, on-boarding, ramp-up and business model to ensure long-term success.
  • Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and executing business and brand strategy to ensure achievement of sales, profitability, cash flow, market share, and other business goals.
  • Responsible for building, managing, and reporting on the Junk Brand P/L.
  • Evangelizes and can create and communicate a compelling vision of the brand to inspire current and new franchisees and lead expansion.
  • Establishes the brand’s first advisory council and by-laws. Provides ongoing corporate and brand direction to the franchise advisory council, seeking their input to ensure successful adoption and implementation of new programs.
  • Develops productive relationships with the franchise network to foster continued growth of the Brand. Is recognized as a thought leader by the franchisees.
  • Embodies, both internally and with franchisees, our core values and ensures all decisions and activities are based upon doing the right thing always.
  • Creates and drives overall Brand marketing strategy to ensure both overall Brand growth and franchisee success. Creates and refines measures of success for marketing campaigns.
  • Communicates effectively and establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as a developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Drives continued expansion, transformation, and operational improvement.
  • Strengthens the network by supporting the success of existing franchisees and seeking out new owners who are capable and committed to the direction of the brand.
  • Oversees people, processes, and programs across the organization to ensure talent for current and future needs are in place by providing operational, functional, and technical leadership.
  • Attracts, retains, and develops highly effective professionals to cultivate a bench of leadership and talent to deliver results and support future growth.
  • Facilitates open communication, encourages stretch thinking and continuous performance improvement.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of business/operations experience with experience in entrepreneurial/high growth/start-up organizations
  • 5+ years executive-level leadership experience a plus
  • 5+ years franchise experience in consumer-facing brand; Subscription/recurring customer experience a plus
  • Proven track record of success in both managing SWS of $50 million, overseeing a significant P&L and achieving business financial goals
  • Junk industry experience a plus
