About the Role

The People function is seeking a Director, Global Compensation to oversee the building and delivering of the company compensation solutions globally. As a member of the global HR team, and reporting directly to the DVP, Global Total Rewards, the incoming Director will set the strategy for our broad-based and short-term incentive compensation programs to deliver a competitive and scalable employee experience, while partnering with leaders, and demonstrating ongoing ROI. Working with HR and business leaders across all functions, the Director will drive the efforts to design and implement comp solutions that enhance our ability to attract, engage, and retain talent. This individual will be responsible for organizing and executing effective compensation communication plans to promote employee awareness, understanding, and engagement. The Director, Global Compensation must be a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable operating in a constantly evolving, fast-moving, results-oriented organization, and has a firm grasp of compensation subject matter across multiple countries and cultures.

Key Priorities

  • Global Comp Philosophy: Learn the business, industry, and culture. Drive the strategic comp philosophy, architecture, implementation, and best practices across the company. These programs should be tailored to the unique challenges of the industry, foster a positive organizational culture, and support achievement of business objectives. Provide real-time feedback on progress milestones and communicate any deficiencies found throughout program implementation and functioning.
  • Training/Leadership Alignment: Lead the company’s efforts to create a foundation of understanding for the role compensation plays in effective leadership and how it relates to successful employee behaviors. Lead collaborative efforts across the People function to integrate behaviors into the full employee life cycle, from TA & onboarding to development, engagement, and retention. Partner with the SVP, HR and Global TR leader to foster, promote, and build compensation alignment throughout the organization.
  • Process Roadmap: Conduct an assessment of the Compensation function, inclusive of organization structure, core processes, and technology. Analyze the competitiveness of existing compensation programs and identify needs, growth areas, and pain points. Using those findings, design a process roadmap required to achieve the company’s global growth goals. Develop and implement a proactive Compensation communication plan to support the delivery of the roadmap model.
  • Technology Integration: Conduct full assessment of technological tools and platforms used to support comp initiatives. Develop an integrated plan for technology priorities & projects.
