About the Role

The Director, HR technology will report directly to the HR Global Business Services Leader and is responsible for the company’s global HRIS System (Workday) and employee data, including identifying emerging system requirements, monitoring and managing system performance in collaboration with the business and division HR teams, and driving policy setting, process improvements & change initiatives. This role will collaborate with regional HR and COE teams to ensure the HRIS System needs are clearly defined and delivered efficiently.


  • Responsible for the design and implementation of business requirements (e.g. new modules, configurations) delivered by Workday (from Divisions and/or Regions).
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all employee personnel data within Workday, addressing quality issues and identifying the route cause and actions to improve performance.
  • Responsible for leading end-to-end process transformation, change initiate and transition to global standard processes.
  • Support change management including development of user procedures, reference guides and other documentation as needed.
  • Responsible for defining the governance of exceptions to the global standard processes and implementing HRIS policies and procedures where applicable.
  • Oversee cost‐effective development and maintenance of Workday system integrations.
  • Leads strategy for HR technology upgrades and enhancements to include prioritization, functional design, documentation, implementation, testing, and training. Analyzes software releases to assess impact of new features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all functions (HR, Finance, IT, Operations) to maintain and develop processes and integrations that will create a best‐in‐class HR technology platform.
  • Establish standard operating procedures and departmental practices to ensure adherence to service delivery protocols by direct reports. This includes case managing service requests from customers, turnaround time, customer communication, application documentation and testing practices.


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT or Business‐related field.
  • 10+ years total HRIS experience; 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • Experience related to implementation and management of large-scale HR technical applications with strong technical and functional knowledge of HCM systems and integrations.
  • Experience managing third‐party relationships.
  • Ability to communicate technical details to end users and recommend IT system functionality that best meets the needs of end users. Interpret and present in a clear, explainable usable form.
