Manager of Construction

The Manager of Construction will be responsible for the assisting the Vice President of Construction in review of architectural, vendor, and construction interfaces of the company. This is a key role to maintain the brand standards and initial touch points with the guest in FOH as well to ensure the layout and design is optimal for BOH production and efficient bakery throughput. The Manager of Construction will also be responsible for working with the Manager of Facilities and Construction to help ensure that vendors and equipment suppliers are fully aware and aligned with our processes and drive value creation as needed. This is a core position at the heart of the Support Team, Operations, Bakery Owners, and Finance from the impact it has on Trust, Profitability, and Growth from both a corporate and franchise perspective. It is imperative that this role leads in thinking forward and has excellent communications skills both internally and externally facing.


  • Help drive and support the overall operation for the architectural, vendor and construction function of the company.
  • Interface with architects for site specific test fits and approvals
  • Assist in the relationship and deliverables for architecture consultant(s) and General Contractors.
  • Help in the equipment support and inventory review process / communication.
  • Assist in the design presentation of projects, equipment selection.
  • Help manage and maintain prototypical standards.
  • Interface with vendors to maintain brand standards.
  • Review, qualify and approve new General Contractors
  • Manage franchise renewal, including format, bakery inspections and documentation.


  • Bachelor’s degree (Construction related discipline would be a plus)
  • 2+ years’ experience in a construction role working with or for restaurant and/or retail brands
  • Knowledge of key architecture, engineering, and construction management principles
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills to interact with personnel at all levels
  • Understands the importance of timelines, budgets, and project management
  • Low travel; Hybrid role
