Description
The Canadian Non-Traditional Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing and new business partner relationships, generating new leads, conducting franchise sales for corporate franchisees, and promoting development of the SUBWAY® Brand. They will be responsible for the development and management of non-traditional locations for the Canadian market. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a specific portfolio of the non-traditional business. They will act as a liaison between our Subway field teams and corporate franchisees and new business partners.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Growing and managing the non-trad portfolio, while working alongside field teams to help grow this segment of the business and increase restaurant count
- Heavy communication with many corporate representatives on day-to-day to assess their operational needs and the number of Subway franchises needed.
- Prospect new leads with corporate representatives
- Travel to industry-related trade shows
- Educate and assist Subway Field Operations teams with regards to contacting and working with prospective or existing accounts.
- Handle the approval process for entity companies, Individual business partners, and leased nontraditional deals
- Account advocate with regards to internal communications with every department.
- Help company representatives by pointing them in the right direction and making sure that they get the answers and the help that they need from other departments.
- Company representative for educating and giving guidance on company standards and requirements with accounts (e.g. getting explanation regarding compliance issues/evaluations, operational consistency, management issues, new product/equipment/store design rollouts).
- Initiate discussions to encourage additional development of Subway brand.
- Lead the Grab and Go programs. Testing the model for the unattended retail vending machines
The successful candidate will have:
- 4+ years related experience
- QSR, Retail or FMCG industry background
- Experience developing and managing accounts within non-traditional locations (ex. Petro, Airports, Education, Hospitals, Big Box retail, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of business principles, including franchising, sales, marketing, contracts, operations
- Strong relationship building background
- Bilingual English/French is a plus
- Willing to travel 25% overnight
- Must have great interpersonal skills and be a confident public speaker
