About the Role:

In the midst of significant organizational transformation, our client is seeking a VP Global HR to own the overall HR planning of key initiatives, communications, and tactical execution of operational activities, ensuring function resources are deployed efficiently, effectively, and in line with enterprise priorities. As a thought partner to the CHRO, this role will also lead a large, global, dispersed team and partner closely with other HR leadership team members to ensure the seamless, integrated delivery of HR services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a range of human resources services, this role will provide proactive HR leadership and consultation to key HR and business line stakeholders
  • Collaborates with CHRO and HR leadership team to set overall HR strategy in line with business and talent priorities; serves as CHRO’s “right hand” on overall functional strategy
  • Works with PMO to ensure effective resource deployment, agile capabilities, and delivery of highest HR priorities. Works to transform PMO into “Dynamic Agile Pool” over time.
  • Works with HR Data Operations team to deliver content needs & data integrity; streamlines operational efficiency
  • Works with HR Communications team to deliver strong messaging and content in support of key programs
  • Provides people development & coaching, team leadership & inspiration
  • Responsible for identifying the need for HR programs or strategies to support business objectives. Participates on global HR initiatives that may require taking the lead on HR programs & projects for the broader HR organization
  • Ensures organizational success in complex business situations like acquisitions and workforce transformation
  • Consults to strategize, problem-solve, and prioritize work
  • Focuses on continuous improvement of programs, resources, and processes; focuses on operational excellence
  • Leads functional and workforce transformation
  • Leverages data and metrics to drive business insights and improvements

Education/Experience/Leadership Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources, business administration, finance or a related field. Master’s degree highly preferred
  • 15 years of HR experience across various COEs required; 5+ years of large team leadership required
  • Global HR leadership required
  • Strong people leader; can drive results and solutions through managing others
  • Metrics-driven/analytical expertise: utilizing data-driven approaches to create “best practice” solutions. Utilizing these performance-driven approaches in liaising with technical teams and product-driven leaders
  • Business acumen: demonstrated understanding of the strategic, operational and financial components of broader business management
  • Strong strategic planning and proven execution to optimize HR’s solution delivery to the business
  • Global mindset: the ideal candidate will bring global experience, having led teams across regions
  • Strong operational continuous improvement track record
  • Must possess in-depth negotiating, influencing, and consulting skills
  • Excellent project management skills and experience; direct experience with agile ways of working
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures
  • Must be able to develop solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems, which require an in-depth degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
