SITUATION

A private equity client in the middle-market/growth space focused on distribution, services, and manufacturing with seven PortCos in their portfolio and having just secured their second fund, taking them to $750M in Assets Under Management (AUM), they made the proactive, strategic decision to hire a human capital partner.

The objective was to find an exceptional operational HR executive with a broad background across all HR sub-functions. This fundamentally shifted the focus and talent availability for the search as significant numbers of sitting human capital partners have deep roots in executive searches but not broad HR backgrounds.

Following the human capital partner search, Blue Rock was further engaged to:

  • Execute the search for a head of HR for the client’s
    most recent portfolio company acquisition.
  • Partner with the human capital partner in designing
    and implementing an executive onboarding
    process for new hire leaders.
  • Assist the human capital partner in developing and
    implementing a CHRO round table process model,
    including key topic identification and scheduling
    cadence.
